Volunteer Opportunities

Jr. Church Workers—Teachers and assistants needed.  Present Bible lessons, lead music, or do small craft projects with children at Jr. Church.  Requires prep time during the week and one-hour commitment on designated Sundays.  Workers are needed for each service.

Sunday School Teachers—Same responsibilities as above except for Sunday School classes each Sunday.  Three month commitment.

Awana and High School Youth Group – Working with youth of all ages on Wednesday nights to help our youth grow in Christ through the Word, music, activities and games.

Greeters—Welcome individuals as they enter the church building and hand them bulletin/newsletter.  Answer visitor’s questions and connect them with other church members for assistance to classes, nursery, etc.  Time requirement 20—30 minutes prior to service start time for two weeks.  Greeters are needed for each service.

 Kitchen Hosts—Prepare trays, serve snacks and clean up following fellowship time on Sunday mornings.  Church provides snacks & drinks or you can bring your own for added variety!  Requires approximately 1 hour of service time each Sunday for one month.

Funeral Dinners & Potlucks – Assist in kitchen at funeral dinners and/or church potlucks.  Would be responsible for setting up serving tables in Fellowship Hall, setting food out for meal and clean-up afterwards.  Estimated time commitment 1-2 hours per dinner.

 Computer/Sound System Assistants—Individuals would help run computer and sound during Sunday services.  Computer knowledge beneficial but not required.  One-on-one training will be provided until individuals are comfortable with system.  Commitments range from substitution to regular assistance on rotating basis.

Nursery Workers—Individuals would be responsible for taking care of the physical needs of infants placed in the nursery during morning/evening services.  Children could range in age from birth—3 years of age.  Would be expected to follow the policies established for the nursery.  Estimated time requirement is one hour per assigned service.

Communion Preparation – Individuals or couples needed to assist with preparing communion trays for 2nd service.  It would involve refilling communion trays from the first service and removing used cups after main worship service.  Estimated time requirement is 30 minutes per Sunday for one month each year.

Musicians—  Vocalists and instrumentalists are both welcome.  Also looking for pianists to assist as substitutes (or as regular pianists) at Sunday services.
